Ms SA finalist aims to bag crown

South beauty pageant enthusiast sets her sights on winning the Ms South Africa pageant

THIRTY-YEAR-OLD Rispark resident and Ms South Africa pageant finalist, Valensia Waibale, has again taken on the challenge to win the crown.

Waibale was recently chosen as one of the top 18 finalists, out of a total 151 entrants, for the Ms South Africa National Pageant. The Ms SA National Beauty Pageant aims to offer an opportunity to women who are single, engaged, divorced, widowed or married, to share their knowledge through volunteer work. The women should be between the ages of 25 to 55.

Early this year, Waibale made it into the 100 top finalists in the Mrs South Africa pageant and now she has her aim set on bagging the coveted title in the Ms SA competition.

“I have won various pageants and believe this is my passion; to use my beauty with a purpose to change the lives of the less fortunate and to make a great impact wherever I go. I am currently in fourth year at the University of South Africa (UNISA), studying toward my Bcom in Accounting Science degree,” said Waibale.

“If I am not busy with studies or being a mother to my beautiful daughter, and wife to my lovely husband, I keep myself busy with various projects in communities, assisting at Resthaven Orphanage, an orphanage very close to my heart for children infected and affected by HIV and Aids and abandoned at birth,” concluded the beauty pageant enthusiast.

The crowning event will be held on September 20 at 18:30 at Vodaworld Midrand. The public can vote for Valensia Waibale by texting No 17 to 33100 or follow her on social media. Twitter Handle : @Valzaniwe & Instagram @ Valzaniwe.
