According to reports, the president of a soccer club has recently been arrested on charges of sexual abuse.
The suspect, a resident of Alberton, has been released on bail.
It has been reported that the arrest followed after one of his victims confided in his parents about the abuse. Allegations of sexual abuse against the man were made by two team members of the soccer club, one aged 16 and the other aged 21.
A Facebook post reveals that four boys have come forward with accusations. Comments on the post stated that many were aware of the abuse but they needed someone with money to take on the prominent figure. An appeal also went out to others who were abused, or who know about the abuse, to come forward.
