Resthaven Ministries receives blankets

Jaguar and Land Rover The Glen spread warmth across the south.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Just before the cold set in, some winter warmth and much needed baby products were delivered to Resthaven Ministries. On Monday, June 1, Resthaven Ministries received 30 blankets for the elderly, as well as baby nappies, milk, soap and creams which were collected during a blanket drive by Jaguar and Land Rover The Glen.

The dealership is not new when it comes to giving back to the community as they also give an annual cash donation to the ministry.

“This blanket drive is based on us basically giving back to the community. My colleague, Nicole Buytengela, came up with the idea. We all liked it and put it up to our clients and sponsors, who helped make this possible,” said Calving Watkins, the dealer principal.

Jaguar and Land Rover The Glen believe in giving back and hope to inspire more people to donate to charity, as these organisations are non-profit and depend on such donations to survive and continue doing what they do.

“Thank you very much guys. You have also assisted us to pay our utility bills and we would also love to have you present when we actually hand over the blankets to the seniors,” said an appreciative Steve Rudd from the ministry.
