The campaign is to aid 1116 abused, neglected, abandoned or orphaned children, who are in the care of Abraham Kriel Childcare.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Abraham Kriel Childcare challenges readers to join the #Dare2Dare campaign in aid of 1 116 abused, neglected, abandoned or orphaned children from the Johannesburg, Soweto and East Rand areas.

The organisation aims to make a real impact on the lives of these children. To do this, children need a safe place to stay and good nutritious meals, as this makes a significant difference to their self-respect and their ability to concentrate in school.

Abraham Kriel Childcare aims to raise R4.3 million in the course of one year, through the #Dare2Dare campaign, to enable them to provide daily meals to the 1 116 children and youth under their care. It works out on average to R322 per child per month, or a modest R10.73 per day. The total food budget per month is R359 404. Of this, they already receive on average R141 557 in debit orders, credit card instructions and recurring EFT’s from around 580 people per month.

With the #Dare2Dare campaign they aim to motivate another 800 people to commit to making a donation of at least R100 per month for the next 12 months. This will bring them very close to covering their food budget entirely with the aid of monthly contributions.

#Dare2Care is a competition too and you stand a change to win a kitchen makeover from Easy Life Kitchens worth R100 000, or R10 000 worth of vouchers from Pick n Pay, Samsung products, a Revlon Gift Pack or a family photo shoot provided by Eunice Driver.
