Join CPF’s AGM

The AGM will be attended by the Senior Management of SAPS, JMPD and the Department of Community Safety.

JOHANNESBURG SAPS – Booysens SAPS Station Commander Brigadier Morgan Rangasamy and the Sector Two chairperson, Randall Howard, are inviting all residents, businesses and the stakeholders to join the CPF annual general meeting.

The Booysens Community Police Forum (CPF) is hosting the important elective annual general meeting on Tuesday, June 2, at 18:30, at the AFM Church.

This AGM takes place in terms of Section 21 of the SAPS Act, Act 68 of 1995, as amended and the Constitution of the Gauteng Province Community Police Board (GPCPB) as per notice issued by the Station Commander on behalf of the Provincial Commissioner.

“Residents, including Ormonde View residents, and other stakeholders are reminded that we launched our Sector Crime Forum Committee in February 2012 at the Apostolic Faith Mission church in Stirling Street, Ormonde View. We successfully elected a committee of 10 to lead and coordinate the fight against crime in partnership with the police,” said Lorraine van Emmerik, Booysens SAPS communications officer.

The main reason for the AGM is to elect a new executive committee, given that the term of the current committee has expired in terms of the GPCPB Constitution as amended on 13 December 2014.

“The AGM will be attended by the senior management of SAPS, JMPD and the Department of Community Safety. We urge all residents and other stakeholders to make every effort to attend so that they fully participate in electing a new leadership, and let your voices be heard in the fight against crime as we continue to build the community and police partnership,” said van Emmerik.
