SOUTH Hills made history on Friday, May 22, when Soweto TV broadcasted live boxing matches from the Recreation Centre while over 3,4 million viewers watched.
Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame welcomed this historic event. “Thank you to Moonlight Boxing Promotions and everyone who assisted to make this event a huge success. Trixie and her crew assisted from start to finish. I would also like to encourage our youth from Ward 57 to come visit the recreational centre to find out what sporting activities they can participate in.
“We offer a range of activities at the centre that can accommodate the youth and the elderly. We had well known faces like Dingaan Thobela, Jan Bertus, Gregory Clark and Jimmy Abbott, who were part of this historic occasion,” she said.
