JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Between Monday May 7 and Sunday May 11, Booysens police arrested 62 suspects for various crimes.
The suspects were arrested for: common assault – five, assault with grievous bodily harm – three, assault under domestic violence – two, common robbery – four, car hijacking – one, drunken driving – 11, failing to comply with liquor licence – one, housebreaking and theft – two, illegal handling of firearm – one, malicious damage to property -one, murder – one, possession of dagga – six, possession of hijacked vehicle – two, possession of hijacked truck – seven, possession of stolen motor vehicle – one, rape – one, receiving of stolen vehicle – one, reckless and negligence driving – two, robbery – one, and four for shoplifting.
