Sustainable resource efficient projects for businesses

GBP will take an in depth look into how adopting resource proficient approach could make businesses more effective

KLIPRIVIERSBERG – The Green Business Platform, on June 5, will take an in-depth look into how adopting a resource proficient approach could make businesses more effective at mass scale on sustainable tourism practices.

There will be two guest speakers present, founders of the Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme Niki Glen and Caroline Ungersbock, who are climate leaders in sustainable tourism.

Programme director Niki Glen’s key area of speciality is in setting up and running mass scale projects and programmes. She is currently helping to drive mass scale sustainable tourism implementation, the Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme, a non-profit company established with the specific aim of bringing about mass scale change within the tourism industry.

Co-founder Caroline Ungersbock will focus on methods of driving change across the tourism industry thus making it more sustainable. Caroline is a serial entrepreneur and runs a number of successful businesses, including a construction company (green building developments), a telecommunications company and a five star graded guest house. She is deeply entrenched in tourism and is a member of the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) Board, and received the Chairman’s Award in 2014.

Questions to be addressed: Why is it important for tourism businesses? How it will make your businesses more efficient? How can you participate in programmes which are aimed at mass scale implementation of sustainable tourism practices? Information on STPP membership and all the other programmes businesses can participate in, will also be provided.
