Former tennis champion and convicted rapist Bob Hewitt was sentenced in the North Gauteng High Court today.
Judge Bert Bam sentenced Hewitt to an effective six years imprisonment.
In March, Hewitt was found guilty of two counts of rape and one of sexual assault.
Last month sentencing proceedings were postponed to allow Hewitt’s legal team to obtain a psychological report for mitigating arguments.
