The Papillon Foundation was recently mentioned in the media as one of the best kept secrets in South Africa.

THE wonderful work of The Papillon Foundation in the community continues unabated.

To this end, Papillon is slowly preparing to celebrate 15 years of hard work and slog in the south of Johannesburg and in other poor areas in the country.

Fifteen years of struggle and strife has delivered many amazing successes for the group.

The Papillon Foundation was recently mentioned in the media as one of the best kept secrets in South Africa. Thousands of poor and needy children, youth and adults, have had life-changing experiences in Papillon’s Projects.

• 308 tons of goods distributed to smaller NPO’s and community projects.

• 1 028 refurbished computers placed at community NPO’s and centres.

• 8 642 adults, children and youth trained in various training programmes.

The community is urged to grab this opportunity to enlist in Papillon’s accredited computer end-user training projects.

The ICDL E-learner Computer Course is accredited with The International Computer Driving Licence and The MICT SETA.

Requirements for enrollment are:

Basic English Literacy and the ability to read and write. The contents of the course include: Entry-level end-user computer skills – IT basics, files and folders, drawing, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, web and e-mail. Classes run on a full and part-time basis.

r Full-time: two weeks from Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 13:00.

r Part-time: two months on Saturdays from 09:00 to 12-noon.
