FIFTY-TWO-YEAR old Joseph Bale of Mondeor has always wanted to correct a mistake he made many years ago, and that was to sit his matric examination (Senior Certificate).

“I always remember my mother saying I should try and get my matric and of course way back then it was the last thing on my mind,” said Joseph.

Joseph hasn’t done at all bad for himself though and is a bricklayer, but the niggling thought at the back of his head got the better of him and he decided to attend night school at Mondeor High and sat his matric last year.

“It’s a great feeling knowing I’ve done it and have the certificate to prove it,” laughed Joseph.

“Don’t ever give up on your dreams. You never know what you can achieve until you try,” added Joseph.
