Dialogues: Any community can know its flaws or successes by engaging themselves

AN activist is his own right, Mohammed Amin Lutchka from Robertsham still has more to give to the community of the South.

He has been actively involved in sport, politics, religion and social wellfare to name a few for more than 40 years. Born in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Durban; at the age of 25 Mr Lutchka was well versed in many activities. He used to write for many publications on serious topics like religious affairs, current issues and leadership, he also worked at the SABC.

“I started at an early age to be a public figure, I always wanted to improve the community I was living in. Leadership and organisational skills were always my forte.

“I continued to be a servant for people when I moved to the Vaal,” said Lutchka, who is turning 66 on July 13.

Three and a half years ago Lutchka relocated to the South, in Robertsham. This is where he wants to continue helping the community with his vast knowledge of history and other skills.

“I have the ability to mobilse the community. We know that this country has been robbed outright of its true self for three centuries. And that can never be resolved in just 20 years,” he said.

Among other things Lutchka mentioned was that South Africa has achieved a remarkable legacy in a short period.

“Give this current government another 10 years or so and see what it can do. People need to work together positively with this administration. We need to celebrate the positive changes we see, get involved in helping to formulate policies,” explained Lutchka.

He is willing to share whatever information the people of the South may need, he wants to stimulate conversations among the people.
