Sad farewell to Booysens officer

Booysens officer killed on duty laid to rest.

SOMBRE MOMENT: Officers pay their last respects to the slain Warrant Officer Pule Paulus Maqeba.

BBOYSENS – Warrant Officer Pule Paulus Maqeba (47) from Booysens Police was killed on duty on January 30.

It was with great sorrow that Booysens SAPS said goodbye to one of their members on Saturday February , when he was laid to rest.

Warrant Officer Maqeba was born on May 15, 1968 in Soweto. He joined the SAPS in 1992 and served with loyalty and pride till the day he died.

He leaves behind his wife and two children, four brothers and two sisters as well as other family members and friends.

Booysens Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik, Communication Officer, said: “He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The management and members at Booysens express their condolences to the family.”
