Makhura mourns death of Top Billing star

Mhere was headed to OR Tambo International Airport to attend the J&B Met in Cape Town, when he met with a fatal accident.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Premier David Makhura has expressed his deepest sympathies to Simba Mhere’s family and friends and pleaded that all motorists drive with caution, Matthews Riba reported.

This follows the 26-year-old Top Billing star’s death in a car crash on Saturday, 31 January. The Zimbabwean-born TV personality became a household name when he joined the weekly magazine show in 2010. After completing his schooling at Rand Park High in Johannesburg, he pursued a B.Com Accounting degree at the University of Johannesburg.

“We wish to express our condolences to his family, friends and fans. It is very tragic to lose such a young person, who was in the prime of his career. Our condolences are also extended to all families that lost their loved ones as a result of accidents on our roads in the province during the past weekend.

“On behalf of the Provincial Government, I wish to urge all motorists to be cautious on the road and drive safe to ensure that we reduce the loss of lives due to accidents on our roads,” said Premier Makhura.

Mhere was on his way to OR Tambo International Airport to attend the J&B Met in Cape Town, when he met with a fatal accident. He was in the company of Kady –Shady O’Bryan who also died in the accident.
