Housebreak suspects caught in Kibler Park

An alert neighbour spotted the suspects and notified ADT Security and the CPF.

COMMUNITY co-operation has led to the apprehension and arrest of one of the suspects involved in a housebreaking incident in Kibler Park on January 7.

Three male suspects broke into a home in Kibler Park last week by breaking the padlock on the pedestrian gate and gaining access to the home by breaking a window which was not secured with burglar bars.

An alert neighbour spotted the suspects and notified ADT Security and the CPF. On arrival he confirmed which direction they had made off in. The suspects were later apprehended on Gordon and Vereeniging roads.

Both suspects jumped out of the vehicle they’d attempted to flee in. One was apprehended by the Mondeor SAPS and taken into custody. All stolen items were recovered.

Managing Director for ADT Central Region Clive Humphrey congratulates the SAPS, the community and ADT Reaction Officers for apprehending the suspect.

“I would also like to thank the resident who alerted us to the scene. We definitely notice a shift in crime when communities get to know their neighbours.”
