ORMONDE – Southgate Mall Value Market in association with Virgin Active Southgate will be hosting a Sweat for Life Aerobics Marathon and challenge, a charity event to benefit an HIV charity on Saturday December 6 from 07:30 to 13:00.
HIV has taken a stronghold on the communities and this event will focus on AIDS awareness with other important health check initiatives such as blood donation by SANBS, road safety awareness in the advent of the peak holiday period and a health and lifestyle campaign by Dis-Chem Southgate.
Entries are already open and can be completed at the Southgate Mall information kiosk daily between 09:00 to 17:00 or on the actual day.
Ralph Chivaviro at Southgate Mall’s Marketing Department said: “All we request is a R20 or more donation. The first 500 entries will receive a goody bag with a Sweat for Life T-shirt on the day of the event. We will have kids entertainment, food and beverages for sale and entertainment during the Aerobics Marathon intervals. We are calling on the Southern community, corporates and churches to tag along and take charge, by being a part of this wonderful and potentially fun-filled event.”
