More police officers needed in Moffatview

Overall the meeting went very well, although there are many challenges facing the CPF and the community and these challenges must be tackled one by one and resolved.

MOFFATVIEW – The Moffatview Precinct Community Policing Forum (CPF), including the three Sector Crime Forums (SCF) held their public meeting at the Southern Suburbs Sports Club.

Colonel Khoza (SAPS) and Chief Superintendent Mothlakoana (JMPD) spoke about the challenges they face in their respective areas of responsibility.

Colonel Khoza highlighted that one of the major issues facing the Moffatview Police Station is the shortage of officers. It was suggested by the community that they (the community) need to petition the government so that more officers are trained and provided to the Moffatview Police Station. Also better facilities are required at the Moffatview Police Station.

Chief Superintendent Mothlakoana spoke about the various operations the JMPD are involved in, and especially highlighted the problem of drunken driving.

The chair of the CPF, Godfrey Mrobongwana, spoke about the challenges facing the CPF and SCF. He also introduced the members of the CPF and SCF.

Overall the meeting went very well, although there are many challenges facing the CPF and the community and these challenges must be tackled one by one and resolved.

If you have any queries concerning the CPF or the SCF, contact the chair of the CPF, Godfrey Mrobongwana at 083 716 1277.
