Couple commits suicide and leaves note

Police suspect no foul play.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Mondeor police have confirmed that the bodies of a 40-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were found dead in a car, with a suicide note at Kibler Park.

Police arrived on the scene and found an abandoned Renault Clio in an open field, with a swimming pool pipe connected from the exhaust to the left back window.

The bodies of the deceased were found and certified dead in the front seats of the vehicle. Mondeor police suspects no foul play but is still investigating.

The information was first brought to the attention of the COURIER by a source who suspected that two people could have gassed themselves in a vehicle.

The names of the deceased are withheld out of respect for their families and friends.

The couple was found at 14:00 on Wednesday November 19 at Gordon Road.

Mondeor police attended the scene immediately to start investigations.
