Carnival at Reuven Complex for seniors

“Our seniors have to be kept entertained as they often have nowhere to go, as they don't have the funds to get into a car and just go like we as public members often just do!" said Sue Lubbe.

REUVEN – Sue Lubbe and Friends decided to have a combined Spring Day (Carnival) and Heritage Day for Reuven Complex for seniors on Saturday September 27.

Sue Lubbe said they had the most wonderful time with the seniors to whom they supplied a full meal, treats, a live show of Joy dogs, dancing and singing by the Christway kids, and Lorraine and Andy Dean played music for everyone to dance.

“Our seniors have to be kept entertained as they often have nowhere to go, as they don’t have the funds to get into a car and just go like we as public members often just do! They are in need of toiletries, cleaning materials; clothing, especially men’s clothing, is very high in demand as we get a lot more for ladies, shoes, and we need paint to continue painting the flats, but anyone interested to assist, please phone me and arrange for items to be collected or delivered,” explained Sue Lubbe.

The festive season is approaching and it is again time to plan the Christmas functions for the seniors. Please consider assisting them to ensure that as many seniors as possible will have cleaner flats this Christmas!
