KIBLER PARK – Â The owner of the business was approached by four African men, one armed. They held him and three customers up. One of the suspects went to the FNB ATM within the store and placed explosives.
The other suspects robbed the shop of airtime worth R20 000, a carton of cigarettes, R1 300 cash and a galaxy note three cellphone. An unknown amount of cash was taken from the ATM.
All suspects hid behind the counter when the explosives detonated, then they ran out of the store and fled in a black VW Polo, registration unknown.
One customer suffered injuries on the leg from shrapnel.
No arrests have yet been made.
