Moffatview Police arrests

The suspects were taken to Moffatview SAPS.

MOFFATVIEW – Over the week of September 11 to 17, Moffatview SAPS arrested 40 suspects for various crimes:

Assault common – four, assault GBH – one, bribery – one, cable theft – one, car-jacking – one, common robbery – two, drunken driving – one, dealing in illegal cigarettes – two, fraud – one, housebreaking and theft – two, intimidation – two, malicious damage to property – one, illegal immigrant – one, possession of dagga – six, possession of stolen goods – one, rape – one, reckless and negligent driving – one, theft – four and shoplifting – six.

Two suspects were arrested for possession of endangered species.

On Wednesday September 3, two suspects were arrested on Verona Street for keeping three small crocodiles inside the house. The suspects were arrested by Organised Crime Members. A suspect mentioned that he bought them from somebody. The crocodiles were kept inside a glass tank. Mr Ndlozi from Nature Conservation was also called to the scene and identified the crocodiles as a protected species.

The suspects were taken to Moffatview SAPS.
