JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Through hard work and dedication by Constable Mayisela from Vehicle Identification Section (VIS), the suspects in cases he investigated were convicted.
Cst Mayisela received the dockets and was able to trace the suspects and place the dockets on the court roll for trial.
Case one was a case of carjacking that took place last year. Two suspects were arrested and sentenced.
Accused one was found guilty of robbery with aggravating circumstances and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Accused two was found guilty of kidnapping and robbery with aggravating circumstances and sentenced to 17 years in prison.
Case two was a hijacking which took place last year, and due to Cst Mayisela the suspect was sentenced directly to a 15 years imprisonment.
The management of VIS wishes to congratulates Cst Mayisela on these successes.
