South’s Women’s star of the month

She is studying Marketing Communications at AAA School of Adverting, and is one of the talented, intelligent and confident young women who has been selected to participate in the Phakama Women’s Academy.

WINCHESTER HILLS – Winchester Hills resident, Zandile Baloyi, was admitted to the Phakama Women’s Academy’s Class of 2014

She is studying Marketing Communications at AAA School of Adverting, and is one of the talented, intelligent and confident young women who has been selected to participate in the Phakama Women’s Academy. An honour and deserving of recognition – she beat many other hopeful candidates to the academy!

To become part of the 2014 pilot programme she was selected for her commitment, passion and interest in developing herself outside of her academic career in ways that will help her advance her career once she joins the workplace; as well as good grades, a great essay and interview, and an assurance that she will pay it forward (when it comes to sharing her knowledge) and that she will help empower other young woman in her shoes – those walking a similar journey.

The academy is a VWV Group CSI initiative, which hopes to fast-track much needed workplace skills for soon-to-be graduates in the marketing/communications sector, particularly among women. Not only is it a way for VWV as a group to give back in terms of sustainably, contributing to youth skills development, but it also allows the VWV Group to empower and encourage these young women to reach for their dreams and put them ahead of the pack.
