No joy from South Hills Clinic

"When I ask for attention I was told that my attitude stinks,” explained Lynette Jansen van Vuuren.

SOUTH HILLS – Lynette Jansen van Vuuren from South Hills is livid at the staff from South Hills Clinic; she said she was treated inhuman.

She has an asthmatic bronchitis and diabetic; however Lynette said she was shocked at the service and the manner in which the staff behave towards her.

“I usually go to South Hills Clinic because it is convenient to me. In June alone I have visited the hospital four times, June 4, 6, 15 and 23. Each time I go there they check my high blood pressure however the last time (June 23) they checked my and was given Allergex and Panando, also told that I’m not sick. I also bled through my nose; you could see blood cloth coming out from my nose. When I ask for attention I was told that my attitude stinks,” she explained.

Then on Tuesday June 24, Lynette was very sick, vomiting. “I was taken to South Rand Hospital where the doctor saw me in less than 10 minutes. South Hills Clinic doesn’t have medicine and their equipment faulty. I am very angry because I nearly died,” noted Lynette.

Nkosinathi Nkabinde, Communication Specialist for the clinic was contacted for comments. For further investigation he asked for: The name(s) of staff members who allegedly gave the complainant an inhuman treatment on June 23 and the name of the staff member that allegedly said her attitude stinks, the medication that was said to be out of stock on the day in question and the medical equipment that was faulty on the same date of the visit.

The COURIER provided him with the last two requests as the complainant could not remember the names of the staff. He hasn’t responded since Wednesday July 2.
