PARKS in the Kibler Park area will be upgraded and the beautification of it has commenced.
In conjunction with residents of Kibler Park and City Park work at the eyesore park between Carol Road and Branksome Heights has commenced and already shows big improvement. The bend at the upper part of Branksome Heights will be cleared and joined to the rest of the park which goes down to Carol Road.
Overgrown trees, bushes and grass have been removed to make way for a more refined area. This has taken many years of deliberation before the eventual clean-up has been spearheaded by residents in the area. Often this park has been used as a getaway and hiding place for criminals when they are being chased by the authorities.
There is a request from the residents that any waterwise plants or any contribution toward this area for the beautification of the park will be appreciated. Please contact Natasja on 071 401 7909.
