Vagrants living in powerhouse causes upset

Initially I was fine with the vagrants staying in the powerhouse, but now I am not; people jump into my yard from that powerhouse

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Rizia Patel and her teenage daughter who live in Evans Park are unhappy at home. The powerhouse next to their fence and house has become home to vagrants who make a loud noise at night.

Initially Rizia and her daughter were fine with the homeless using the powerbox as their shelter as she believed they had nowhere to go. Now she is unhappy, not only because she has to withstand the noise at night, but also because people have broken into her property after jumping from the powerhouse into her yard.

It has not been proven that the vagrants jumped over the fence to break into her car and steal valuables, but Rizia wants to see something done, because she loses a lot of important things.

The powerhouse at number 10 Berwyn Street has a burnt roof and its fence is bending in the corners as the vagrants climb over it to get inside.

Rizia wants something to be done to make sure that she will live peacefully, without having to worry about things being stolen from her car when she is not looking.

She had razer fence installed on the wall between her home and the powerhouse, but that is still not completely secure.

The COURIER is investigating and Rizia has reported the matter to the relevant authorities.
