Winter collection drive needs YOU

Good Samaritans are reaching out to the community for assistance in making the winter drive a success.

SOUTHERN SUBURBS – The Southern Suburbs Hindu Cultural Society is gearing up for their annual winter collection drive from now until the end of May.

The society is embarking on the project hosted once a year to distribute clothes, groceries and other resources to underprivileged communities.

A collection of blankets, old or new clothes, groceries, cash donations and any usable items are requested from residents, who would like to make a contribution to this worthy cause.

The beneficiaries of the collection drive are a number of trusted non-profit organisations, such as the Johannesburg Children’s Home, The Salvation Army, The Love of Christ Ministries (TLC), Adishankara Ashram in Lenasia, Ramakrishna Centre, Lenasia Old Age Home and other charity organisations.

Organisations that have benefited from the contributions to the winter collection drive and received donations include The Salvation Army, the Johannesburg Children’s Home, Maria Kloppers, Truth for Christ Ministries, Adishankara Ashram and Ramakrishna Centre.
