JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Prominent Paints, a fully integrated member of PPG and a leading South African paint manufacturer, has made some new additions to its Primalex range of quality, affordable paint coatings.
Primalex Gloss Enamel, previously only available in white, with the ability to have pastel colours eye-tinted, is now available in five fresh new colours, including cream, peach, golden brown, white and black.
The enamel range is available in a 5L tin and is a solvent-based, entry-level gloss for interior and exterior use.
“While there is so much more than just colour to consider when searching for the perfect paint solution, we have made an effort to get to know the real needs of our customers, and colour preferences were determined through consumer research among potential users of this product and their buying habits,” said Prominent Paints Channel Coordinator Ronald Kaviza.
“The colours we are launching supports the findings of our research and should be well received by the market.”
Primalex Gloss Enamel is a particularly durable paint, with a glossy finish that resists scuffing, marring, and even withstands scrubbing with detergents.
This lead free paint is easy to apply, and its viscosity is specifically designed for easy brushing.
In addition, Primalex Paradise, aPVA paint for new interior or exterior cement plaster surfaces, has a new edge: the paint can now be found in 20L and 5L translucent packaging, allowing customers to see the exact colour of the paint.
“We have found translucent packaging to be a real winner with our customers, and it certainly makes sense: would you not want to see the exact colour of the paint you’re buying?” asked Kaviza.
Primalex Paradise comes in shades such as Tropical Blue, Garden Green, Rosy Peach and Toffee Beige, amongst others, and has a matt finish. It is water based, which means that it dries quickly and there is very little odour while it does so. It is lead-free, and economical – good obliteration at low cost.
The Primalex range is being stocked at most leading paint stockists nationwide, as well as from the Prominent Paints Paint Centres. The suggested retail price is R243 for 20L.
