Meeting of cultures’ autumn walk and brunch

This year breaks two decades of KNRA tradition in the autumn walk and embracing the historical cultures that shaped the nature reserve over hundreds of years and imbued it with a unique flavour.

KLIPRIVIERSBERG NATURE RESERVE –  Come and experience a sensory journey through time, including the sampling of era specific foods and drinks, interpreted and interactive presentations and a scenic walk, followed by a catered traditional meal for brunch. The walk will take place on Sunday April 13, from Impala Gate South at 08:00 till late (12:00 for those on schedule and 16:00 for those who want to do it right).

Cost is R50 per pers and R30 for children under the age of 10. RSVP Leabrash@kolisa.co.za Bring friends and family. The rustic setting around the oldest building in Johannesburg has been chosen for this event. The scene is set and only people are needed to turn it into an unforgettable experience.

Please bring: camping chairs or picnic blankets, portable umbrellas or gazebo’s for shade, drinking water for the walk and your favourite drinks for the brunch and ‘kuier’ after. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and sunblock.

All proceeds of the event will go towards the conservation of historic and natural assets of the Reserve and the implementation of conservation projects developed (and in the process of being developed) to achieve these goals.
