Robbery foiled by Hercules security

Suspects make a run for it when they see security on their tail.

WINCHESTER HILLS – The prompt response by a Hercules security officer to a call alerting him of a house robbery in progress stopped three criminals in their tracks.

On March 26, officer Albert van der Linde of Hercules Security arrived at a residence on Lebombo Street in Winchester Hills to find one of the suspects in the yard of the home carrying a television set to their getaway vehicle.

The vehicle, a black Hyundai Atos, has been reported stolen in Florida West, Johannesburg by Mondeor SAPS. It was parked outside to the convenience of the busy robbers. When the brave officer confronted the three suspects, they all made a run for it in different directions to throw the officer off.

The suspects, who are still at large, left the stolen vehicle behind.
