Prevention is better, be smart don’t start substance abuse.

SOUTH HILLS – A campaign from Alcohol and Drug Concerns led by Bonnie Seach and Archie Hall visited Montanus Primary School on Tuesday March 18.

They presented a show which shows learners how to deal with the problem of substance abuse, educating youngsters how to resist and say no to it.

“When using drugs or any substance abuse, your brain and body will be damaged. Learners must stay away from substance abuse,” said Bonnie Seach.

Some of the points that Alcohol and Drug Concerns emphasised were:

· Prevention is better, be smart don’t start.

· Parents must do what they can to help their children for a better future.

· When tempted change the course of your action.

· A breakdown of family environment can lead to children getting involved in drugs.

· Parents who cooperate with educators help their children to resist substance abuse.
