Highest Rotary award to SOJO’s CEO

Nicky Vakaloudis is recognised for her wonderful work in the community of Johannesburg South.

SOUTH OF JOHANNESBURG – Peter Soester, on behalf of Johannesburg South Rotary Club, had the honour of recognizing a very well-known figure and true champion of the South of Joburg, for her tireless efforts to make the area where the community live and work a much safer, greener and pleasanter environment.

“Greening the South is one of her passions and for well over 14 she years has been very involved with community affairs, both through  her job as chief executive officer in the field of community service and her voluntary involvement with many community organizations including, to name but a few, KlipSA and various business platforms and local ratepayer forums. She is also well known to many charities through her tireless efforts to help their cause.

“She was brought over from Greece at the age of three, and now has two children, Dimitri at university and Tacia in matric. She has achieved to bring up two fine children as a single parent and is a totally dedicated and involved giver in community affairs of the South,” said Peter.

He went to add, “Joburg South Rotary, has through the years, worked closely with this fine woman in her capacity as CEO of SOJO Business and Tourism, with such projects as the Charity Race Day, Christmas in July and Christways.  On other occasions all our members and Ann’s have got to know and respect her as a friend, truly fitting the ideals and principals of the Rotary International organisation. It gives me great pleasure to announce the Rotary highest award, a Paul Harris Fellowship, to Nicky Vakaloudis,” concluded Peter.
