Out of control dogs in Turffontein attack again

“These dogs attacked other people in the community before and their owner still has pending cases”

TURFFONTEIN – On Thursday February 13, residents were irate about dogs that attacked a 53-years-old woman. She was walking on the street when two dogs jumped her.

The woman sustained severe wounds on her legs and bled as the dogs continued to sink their teeth into her, cutting her skin open. The photos taken by people who rushed to save her from the animals were quite graphic.

Neighbours allegedly surrounded the house of the owner of these dogs and threw stones at the house. The woman who was in the house locked herself inside and closed her windows.

The people of the community were furious because it is not the first time these dogs have attacked pedestrians. The owner allegedly still has pending cases after the dogs attacked people.

Councillor Sidney Radebe acted swiftly and called the Booysens SPCA to take the animals away as he was convinced the dogs are dangerous to society. The occupants of the house where these dogs lived refused to comment. The COURIER will continue its investigation.
