TURFFONTEIN – Believers Care Society (BCS) Youth Development Centre is embarking on a Talent Development Project with a focus on Gospel music.
Many young people lead their lives outside their strength; they choose careers and jobs that falls outside their natural ability, passion and personality. Eventually this will lead to an unproductive and unfulfilled life. The project’s objective is to help the youth discover their natural gifts and talents, to develop it and make it a career and use it for a livelihood.
BCS is starting a community contemporary choir group. Members of the group will have an opportunity to undergo a semester course in Music – Popular Music Performance N4; the course instructional offering will include music business and style, aural and ensemble, improvisation, practical vocal, guitar, piano/keyboard, drum and brass.
To qualify you must be between the ages of 17 and 25 years old, out of high school, passionate about music and willing to be a member of a community choir group. Also required: a copy of your ID or valid permit for non SA citizen and a short CV.
Auditions will be held on February 13 at the Rotunda Recreation Centre (Rotunda Park) in Turffontein, corner High and Tramway streets, the closest point is the Spar Turffontein. Be there 10:00 sharp.
