Provincial Award for Excellence given to Mondeor High teacher

Mondeor High School teacher, Mr A V Antoniou, was awarded first place and given a Provincial Award for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching.

MONDEOR – The CHRONICLE spoke to him about his achievement and he said, “Through the grace of God I received this ward. I believe in today’s youth and the importance of education. I want my learners to go as far as they can. I never give up on them. I think this is very important.”

Mr Antoniou has been a teacher at Mondeor High School for 15 years and is HOD in science and physical science.
Mrs V Nicolaou, principal of the school, said, “We would like to congratulate you on the award you received and we are so proud of you. Your values, integrity and humane spirit are qualities to be admired. You are a very special and unique person. Thank you for what you do for our learners and for always going the extra mile. You are valued and appreciated as an educator and you have touched and shaped many lives. You are truly special.”
