Two dead after truck slams into Comaro Bridge
Two dead, one seriously injured after truck crashes into bridge on N12.
OAKDENE: A tragic accident involving a truck has resulted in the death of two people, just off the N12 highway under the Comaro Bridge on November 18.
Reportedly, a truck with a crane hit the bridge resulting in the driver losing control of the vehicle and hit two workers cutting grass under the Comaro Bridge.
The workers were confirmed dead on arrival by ER24 paramedics who found them lying lifeless on the pavement. It is also reported that that they may have died on impact.
More casualties are expected as another person was also seriously injured in the accident; the driver of the truck sustained no injuries but was said to still be in shock.
The Johannesburg Metro Accident unit took photos of the deadly accident for further investigation, however, the bodies are yet to be removed from the scene.
