Gear for new show – The Garage

The Garage TV Show for everyone.

JOHANNESBURG – ‘THE Garage’ is a 13-part educational TV series that will kick into gear from October and ends on December 3.

The Garage was officially launched on Monday October 28 and will focus on the broad spectrum of drivers in South Africa to educate them on their cars.

Each show, its producers say, will be packaged with two-minute educational inserts covering facts, hints and tips about keeping you and your family safe on the road. It will, they add, be presented in a fun and exciting way for all viewers, male and female.

The first show will cover “interesting facts” on brake pads and discs and will include 4×4 action as well as suggesting simple checks for shock-absorbers and be hosted by Michael Bender, race driver Gugu Zulu and Miss SA finalist and model Sian Schlebusch.

The sponsors, Control Instruments Automotive general manager Kevin Rogers, said, “It aims to be a concise guide to help viewers better to understand their vehicles through informative content, interaction between the presenters and sponsor giveaways. Expect to see it before and after programmes such as Top Gear, Counting Cars and Jesse James Austin Garage.”

“As the December holidays approach the more people, including families, are on the roads. The need for efficient motor vehicle performance, safety and general maintenance of the essentials is crucial. The Garage will equip viewers with tips on how to make their trips even smoother.”
