Forest High matriculants ready for battle

Grade 12 learners and their teachers at Forest High School have devoted the whole year to achieving a 100% pass rate, which they believe will be a massive success for the school.

FOREST HILL – Preparations for the 2013 matric final examinations have begun and on October 28, the matriculants commence their first exam with English Paper 1.

Nicole Shange, a grade 12 learner, is confident about the examinations and she is ready to deliver great percentages and distinctions.

“We have been working hard throughout the year and our educators went an extra mile in helping us to achieve good marks, by ensuring that we are on the right path,” Nicole said.

Mr Manyatha, a grade 12 Geography teacher, said that it is all up to the learners to meet or even exceed the expectations of their parents and teachers. He added that he has faith in his students that they will do well. However, when the ‘big’ day arrives, they’re on their own, so they should have faith in themselves more than anything.

Matriculants at Forest High believe that devotion, discipline and faith; will definitely lead them to success, as well as sacrificing more time to studying. Percy Khumalo, also in matric, has been waiting for this final moment of her schooldays ever since she was in Primary school. She is excited about the exams and she can’t wait to begin her first paper. She noted that it was a scary feeling writing the preliminary examinations in September, now the anxiety doubles up to a much higher level. Percy urges all grade 12 learners to keep focused until the last paper, because their results determine their career direction come 2014.
