Christmas Night Market at Amcare

Remember a loved one with AMCARE's Tree of Remembrance at the annual Christmas Night Market!

NEWMARKET – The Annual Amcare Night and Light Christmas Market is set to take place on Friday November 29 this year and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The now famous Tree of Remembrance will be switched on at 19:00 on this day and the lights will continue to shine throughout the month of December.

Traditionally this is the market where Albertonians are guaranteed to find that special Christmas gift for the special people in their lives. In between the shopping, they can also enjoy the entertainment lined up which this year includes ventriloquist Gareth Lush, a puppet show and the popular band Crossroads.

This event is one of the main fundraising events for Amcare, a multi-purpose health and social development organization servicing poor and vulnerable people in the Greater Alberton area of Ekurhuleni.

A dedicated play area for children, a tea garden in the lapa area and a variety of food on sale make up what promises to be the official launch of the 2013 festive season in our town. The fun starts at 16:00 at the Amcare premises, 15 Heidelberg Road in New Market Park.

Your contact person to book a table if you’re interested in selling your wares, is Marion 011 902 5674. To purchase a coloured bulb for the Remembrance Tree, kindly contact Eurika 011 869 5856.
