Show Day for Eikenhof WI members
Amazing work by members of Eikenhof Women's Institute.
SUIDEROORD: ONCE a year members of Eikenhof Women’s Institute hold their Show Day, where they “show” some of the best work they’ve produced, such as knitting, sewing, baking, painting, etc.
This year was no exception and on Wednesday October 9 the members went all out to produce some excellent pieces and produce.
There were homemade cakes, lemon curd, jams, chutneys, fudge and the like as well as beautifully knitted and sewn garments, delightfully designed greetings cards and paintings.
The winner was Jean Ross with 468 points, second Evelyn Onderstal with 466 points and third place, Yvonne Fagan with 439 points.
“This year all the entries were scored very highly, which goes to show what exceptional work our members produce. It’s been wonderful to see such high standards,” said Joy Boswell, president of EikenhofWI.
