SUIDEROORD: Principal, Leon Erasmus opened the ceremony and introduced Mr patrick Mabena , the math teacher, who sang Bless this House.
Mr Alex Isaakidis (joint group chief operating officer) gave a speech, saying how impressed he was with the growth of Abbotts College South. “This campus has already made a name for itself and I’m a great believer in the motto, changing school changed my life,” said Isaakidis.
Tamryn Webber, a grade 11 student at the school sang a song and was followed by Mr Greg Fillmore (Brand manager for Abbotts College) who said he was honoured to stand in the new wing. “This school is built up of many parts, including the teachers, admin, parents and students. Tell your friends how good this school is.”
Gisela Fossati played a musical item on her violin and this was followed by Alex Isaakidis and Greg Fillmore unveiling the plaque. As the proceeding neared the end one of the teachers, Trish Hunter sang, Memories.
Leon Erasmus thanked everyone for attending and guests were invited to enjoy refreshments.
