Booysens successful arrests

Over the week of September 9 to 15 a total of 56 arrests were made.

BOOYSENS: Among them were; three – assault common, 21 – dealing/possession of drugs, six – suspected stolen goods, one – possession of unlicensed firearm and six – theft.

Other arrests made:

On Monday September 9 at about 10:00, Cst Ndwayamato was on duty when he received information that there were two unknown males selling drugs in Turffontein. The member went to the said address and he found the mentioned males. The member identified himself along with his crew and started to search the house. While searching the house they found four cellphones and a digital camera. They then asked for proof that the phones and camera belonged to them. They were unable to produce proof and were placed under arrest for being in possession of suspected stolen goods.

On Thursday 12 at 22:40 members at Booysens received a call from a concerned citizen (complainant) informing them that there was a person who had taken his firearm without permission and she was threatening to kill herself. They went out to assist in trying to find the person who wanted to kill herself. The complaint received a call from a friend stating that the person had return to her residential address. The members proceeded to the address where they found the lady who was highly intoxicated and arrested her for theft and been in possession of an unlicensed firearm. She will be appearing in court as soon as possible.

On Saturday 14, members from Booysens SAPS Visible Policing were on duty and doing patrols in the Turffontein area when they noticed two unknown males exchanging something between them. One of them then went to his vehicle and placed something inside his vehicle and went into the shop. The members approached this person and asked to search his vehicle. The members found dagga in a small plastic bag. The suspect was placed under arrest and will appear in court shortly.
