Elite Rhythmic Club hosts Junior Gymnastics competition

Young gymnasts of the Elite Rhythmic Club in Kibler Park received Central Gauteng Colours after they contended their hearts out at the Central Gauteng Regional competitions.

Junior contenders, Catie Jade Van Wyhe, Chene Feireia, Lerice West, Caitlin Teixeira and Lebo Gazi reportedly received exceptional placings at the Club competition held on September 7 in Kibler Park.

“The Senior Gymnasts competed at Wits on the 21st August 2013 of Cental Gaueng regionals and acheiving amazing results,” said Denise.

These gymnasts are Tamryn Brown who come in 2nd place overall in level 6, Lusanda Radasi came in 4th place overall in level 5 and Katy Hurley came in 1st place overall. Shana Marreiros came 2nd place overall under 13 as well as Ayanda Ntsele who came 2nd place overall for level 8 under 15. All the participants are said to have qualified to partake at the National event which will take place in Durban on October 22.

Classes are held at the Klipriersberg Recreational Centre on Peggy Vera Street in Kibler Park. Any interested youngsters can visit the centre on Tuesdays from 15:00 to 16:30 and on Thursdays from 16:30 to 18:00. Seniors can come between 15:00 to 18:00, little ones who are between the ages of four and upward are welcome.
