Are school learners giving teachers a hard time?

Readers having their say on learners' attitude.

In the last couple of weeks, videos have been circulating through social media depicting learners abusing their educators.

We asked our readers what they thought about learners’ attitude towards educators.

This is what they had to say:

NTHABISENG MIKO: “This attitude starts at home. If you don’t respect your parents it will be difficult to respect other people around you. I feel sorry for educators for experiencing these kinds of troubles in their work space.”
MDUMISENI SOSIBO: “The learners are blinded by these rights that they have. The government should try and minimise their rights.”
NOMPUMELELO MNTAMBO: “The way learners are behaving is not normal and totally unacceptable. Disciplinary procedures should be implemented to stop this.”
THEMBISA NGUBELANI: “What learners are doing to their educators is wrong. The problem is that our schools are still having learners who are over 20 years in age.”
