GOLD Reef City’s latest ride, The High Flying Maverick, is certain to entertain even the most adventurous amusement park enthusiasts.

TOP GUN: The High Flying Maverick provides riders with all the experiences of a dogfight much closer to the ground.

The High Flying Maverick is intended to simulate the experiences of ace pilots doing daring manoeuvres, right on the tail of their quarry. A succession of barrel rolls which often leaves riders upside down and constantly sends your adrenaline levels through the roof.

The G-forces experienced while spinning in this way leaves you out of breath and caught somewhere between a scream and smile. A great part of the ride is the feeling of the chase that it simulates. The plane ahead of you flitting through your line of sight and you are left egging your plane on to put the one ahead of you within your sights.

A warning to potential riders that this ride is intense. The High Flying Maverick is given a nine out of 10 fear rating meaning that it is not for the faint of heart. This ride is highly recommended for those that love the rush of adrenaline.
