Which zone are you in?

The pain of regret has claimed so many lives and you don't want to be part of that statistic.

“A question not asked is a door not opened.” – Marilee Goldberg

The difference between who you are right now and who you want to be is competence and confidence. Competence leads to confidence. There are ultimately two kinds of pain in the world: the pain of discipline and the pain of regret. You can only avoid one – choose. The decision is always yours, if you don’t take or choose one, the other one will come your way.

So many people are stuck in the “someday life”. It’s time to wake up now and get out of your comfort zone. Know that there are three kinds of zones and that you are in one of them at any given moment:

1. Comfort zone (doing what you always do which is no longer challenging you – this is not good for your brain).

2. Stretch zone (doing something just a little more challenging than normal in order to grow – one step out of your comfort zone and again another step, this is the ideal zone to be in – you don’t settle) and,

3. Snap zone (taking 10 steps at once which becomes too much to handle and gets you discouraged and then give up. This is biting off more than you can chew, not good for you; here you burn out).

Unless you attempt to do more than that which you already master or do well, you will never grow and will remain stuck in the comfort zone. If you choose your comfort zone, you avoid the pain of discipline and definitely the pain of regret will take over. The pain of regret has claimed so many lives and you don’t want to be part of that statistic.
