Protecting children is everyone’s business

To a child gifts are not money but it's your time and it is simply being there for them

THE Alberton Child Welfare hosted its Inaugural Winter Fundraiser 2016 on Friday, June 3 at the Thaba Eco Hotel and was a huge success with a full 200 people attending in support of the organisation.

Martin Kroucamp, chairman of the Alberton Child Welfare welcomed all the honoured guests and thereafter Mrs United Nations, Desiree Oliphant, took to the stage as the master of ceremonies for the night. Desiree also spoke on the forthcoming attractions of the Alberton Child Welfare, one of which being the golf day.

Guests were treated to brandy tasting courtesy of KWV South Africa. Touch of Class graced the event with entertainment that undoubtedly kept everyone wanting more.

Director of the Alberton Child Welfare, Elmarie Kennedy, spoke on the difference that we all can collectively make in the lives of the children in our community.

Justine Diamond of the Alberton Child Welfare said in a post on Facebook, “What a beautifully successful fundraiser in aid of Alberton Child Welfare! So very proud of the turnout and thankful for the generosity of our community!”
