A SILVER Volkswagen Golf 7R with registration number DG 94PP GP was hijacked at the corner of Abraham and Borgward streets on Saturday, February 27, near the mosque. It is alleged by the police that two men were sitting in a parked vehicle when two unknown armed men approached the vehicle. The two unknown men pointed their firearms at the vehicle’s occupants and instructed the driver and passenger to get out of the vehicle. It was at this point that the passenger took his chance and ran away leaving the driver at the scene.
The driver claims that he was forced to lie down while the armed men searched his pockets and took his cellphone. After that they climbed into the Golf and drove away. The driver opened a case at the Eden Park Police Station and the police are investigating the matter.
