Booysens SAPS is investigating the murder.

The CHRONICLE spoke to a resident from Zena Street, Gillview. “I distinctly heard a vehicle braking hard, wheels spinning and then what sounded like a shot but it could have been a car backfiring. This was at around 23:15. I had a gut feeling something awful had happened and when I looked out of the window not long after I saw ambulance lights. This is a terrible tragedy.”
