There’s a new notorious taxi boss in town

Judas is rich and powerful, but is also a hardworking man who built a taxi empire from the ground up.

JUST as the Zungus were settling into a life without the thorn that was Bhekifa Ngubane, Mzansi Magic’s popular soapie Isibaya has decided to throw a spanner in the works with the introduction of a new family: the Ngwenyas.

Following the vicious taxi strike, a frustrated Samson Ndlovu will seek out a new alliance in the form of Judas Ngwenya (Menzi Ngubane), a ruthless and feared taxi boss from KwaMashu who is ready to make his mark in the valley.

Judas is rich and powerful, but is also a hardworking man who built a taxi empire from the ground up.

Right beside him is his glamorous wife Beauty Ngwenya (Thuli Thabethe). Beauty is a Joburg township girl. She has, over the year, proven to be an astute head in the taxi business and her husband’s investments. She is forthright and knows how to use all her ‘assets’ and most importantly – Judas adores her and she adores him.

The Ngwenya family is made complete by the violent but respectful son Qaphela (Abdul Khoza) and the gorgeous and free-spirited daughter Ntombizama (Linda Mtoba), who is the apple of her father’s eye.

With the new family descending upon eBhubesini, the question remains: who are the Ngwenyas and what will this new alliance with Samson mean for the Zungus? As history has proven, the Zungus do not take kindly to people arriving on their territory and threatening their livelihood…
Meet the Ngwenyas this coming May on Isibaya, Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161)
